Un muchacho sorprendió a más de uno con la ingeniosa manera que tuvo para pedir la mano a su enamorada.
El novio se animó a disfrazarse de Pikachu para decirle así a su novia que la quería junto a él por el resto de sus días.
Para ser el más original de todos, Da Wang decidió alquilar un disfraz del pokemón más popular de los dibujos animados. Él se vistió de Pikachu y llegó hasta el Times Square de New York, en Estados Unidos.
Ahí estaba su novia Meng Wang quien quedó sorprendida al ver a su novio vestido de Pikachu y pidiéndole casarse con ella.
“Estaba un poco preocupado por si podría acercarme a ella con éxito en el disfraz, porque podría pensar que Pikachu le cobraría por tomar fotos. La conozco bien y podría pensar: “Eso es una pérdida de dinero””, dijo Da Wang.
Da Wang convocó a los amigos de la novia para que presenciaran la pedida de mano. La jovencita estaba un poco confundida hasta que vio a Pikachu quitarse la cabeza. Es ahí donde vio a su prometido quien se arrodilló y le hizo la propuesta de matrimonio.
“¡Y la novia dijo que sí! Todo lloramos. Fue muy emotivo. Yo seguía llorando al día siguiente. Mucha gente nos felicitó y recibió un montón de cumplidos como: “es tan dulce” y “es tan romántico”, con lo que estoy totalmente de acuerdo”, señaló la futura esposa.

Da wasn’t sure how it would his plan would go at first. “I was a bit worried about if I could approach her successfully in the costume, because she might think the Pikachu will charge for taking photos,” Da told T&T Creative Media. "I know her well and she might think, 'That's a waste of money.'”Da hired a photographer and Meng’s friends also tagged along to celebrate the couple’s one-year anniversary with a Broadway show. Times Square was on the way. Meng was slightly confused when her best friend from Chicago, who wasn’t set to come, appeared. Then Da took off his Pikachu hat and got down on one knee while a violinist played in the background. And Meng said yes! Meng said the moment was emotional for everyone.“Da cried. My mom cried. Our friends cried — I didn't at that moment, but I cried the next morning — a very long reflex arc,” she said. “Lots of people congratulated us and he received tons of compliments like, ‘He's so sweet’ and ‘He's so romantic’ which I agree with.”
